Horizon: Forbidden West looks incredible

Due to be released on PS4 and PS5 on February 18th. Hopefully we'll see it on PC perhaps in a year or so after the exclusive has expired.

I'm really enjoying Zero Dawn, but on the off chance that Forbidden West might come to PC, I'm not pushing particularly hard through the game so I can have a go at playing them back to back

I've just recently finished ZD - currently blasting through New Game+ on 'Story' difficulty to acquire the Adept weapons for a Ultra Hard run (although I'm not holding out much hope that I'll ever do that)...

FW does indeed look incredible though, if its even 'as good as' ZD its gonna be a great game.

It's been on the list since my first couple of sessions on HZD (currently 39 hours in before house move/redecorate break but I'll get back to it soon) Obviously, if the game/port turns out awful I won't pull the trigger but... pffft c'mon, it'll be fiiine.

More exclusives please Sony, ta.

Well worth a read

Like Zero Dawn, but better?

I have but one response to that.

Just got to wait for the PC port, and we'll be all set...should have finished Cyberpunk, God Of War, replays of AC Odyssey & AC Valhalla...and any number of other titles by then.

Similar tale here. So much backlog and librarius... and then more coming before any such port. Fortunately, some of that I could save exclusively for playing on Steam Deck (whenever it arrives) but still, Warhammer 3 is imminent (followed by Immortal Empires) Hitman 3 (to combine and play with 1 and 2) Distant Worlds 2, Space Marine 2 and Dying Light 2 are looking like absolute must haves, among others. The new WH40K Chaos Gate is looking good too... Hmm, my wishlist is all about sequels.

All I need now is surprise news of an old favourite returning or remade and I'm doomed. What's that... rumours of GTAVI AND a historical medieval/black powder era Total War? Oh no...

I'm quite impulsive with my gaming purchases (well duh!) and I recently started playing Dying Light as it's a game that I owned, but had never played. I'm enjoying it, so can see DL2 being bought once I get the first one done in a few dozen hours time (it'll take months!). The original's pretty fun and the parkour makes a nice change to what many zombie games have done.

Indeed and imho a classic of both the genre and proving further (along with Mirror's Edge) that first person parkour/smooth vertical traversal can work very well. It was good enough for me to get well into, then losing that PS4, starting again later on PC (I'll only think of doing this in the really worthy ones) Well, it's in my all time bests list anyway.

You can tell Forbidden West has had a lot of time and effort put into it that Sony were happy for reviews to come out several days before launch!

While it's a reassuring level of transparency similar to the current batch of Steam Deck breakdowns (and isn't that looking good?) let's hope it's not overconfidence or arrogance on Sony's part. However good it might be now, there's much they can do for better outcomes both PS and PC. After the first though, I have high hopes... and maybe such success will get the ball properly rolling on more Days Gone too (seeing as ReCore is a dead idea... shame, cos it had potential)
