That's a bit of a waste of money to be honest. There are many savings that could be made without compromising on performance.

Below would save almost £1k and still have an OTT GPU IMO. The 4080 would be more than enough for that monitor.

I mean for gaming there's no benefit of the 7950X3D over the 7800X3D in fact it actually performs worse in some games because they are designed for different functions

7800X3D is THE gaming CPU, the 7950X3D is more geared for production work so you're over spending there for little to no gain and sometimes worse performance

Over shooting like crazy on the motherboard, the B650 TUF is a really really well made board only reason to choose one of the other now is purely features. So read up on them and see which one suits you best, the B650 TUF covers almost everyone

There is absolutely no need for 64GB of RAM for any game that currently exists or I could imagine existing in the next 20 years. More RAM doesn't increase performance it's either used or it isn't. For gaming you'll not get close to 32GB never mind 64GB so this would be a massive waste of cash

4090 on a 1440p is close to pointless mate, the GPU will barely get used. You want a 4K monitor to get the most of that GPU, running on it a 1440p screen it'll barely break and sweat and hardly get used at all meaning you're spending an awful lot of money for something that just wont get used

Thanks for advise.

Stevergg - i had a read about it and there are opinions that for some strategy games 7950 is better and potetnially more future proof but will read more about it.

Can u explain about motherboards isnt the point on getting better one for a future adaptibility?

scott - looks good just one question you went for 1200W power supply should i go with it or 1000w is enought?

Thanks both for advise

Yeah no problem mate

I guess if strategy is your bag the 7950X3D could potentially be better in that particular instance but I doubt it would be much better. I certainly wouldn't have a problem strongly recommending the 7800X3D for literally any game

Motherboards used to vary wildly depending on the which tier you bought them. These latest motherboards though are all built to a really really high standard it's quite impressive. What that's done is made it less of a need to match the tier of motherboard to the tier of CPU because certain motherboards wouldn't be able to fully utilise the CPU in them due to things like VRM's or power delivery. Now at least all the ASUS boards I've been reading about are built to a really really high standard so it's more based on their very specific use cases

Scott is giving you as much overhead as possible for upgrades in future, it's a good call at this level

With the 7950 it's basically one 7800x3d die and one normal 7800x. For gaming you have to disable the non X3D die otherwise performance tanks. So unless you know how to manually park cores during gaming sessions and reactivate them after for heavy workloads there's zero point using it for gaming.
