Hello
Plan to upgrade my 5-6 old PC mostly to play games with decent FPS. Bought previuous pc here with 1080TI so still holds strong but some of the games lately are dropping below 60 fps mark. I am more of hobby enthiusiast for games so want to check for opinions on the build. Want to do similair thing i done with precvious PC where i got top specs now so i dont have to worry about upgrades to much for next 5 years. Would appreicate any thoughts

What's your current system? The whole point of a gaming pc is that you upgrade components like the GPU to maintain FPS, you don't need to replace the whole system unless it's poorly designed and can't accommodate the upgrades.

But a well designed system will last 7 to 10 years with a couple of GPU upgrades

i am hitting 5.5 year mark now with this. i am just worried i will neeed to replace major component soon so there is little point replacing parts now. or parts i can put it wont bring me enough gain to maitain fps for long.

If it were me, I would just upgrade the GPU and run it until the 2025 windows 10 end, it's got planty of life left in it.

I'm still gaming on a 4th gen pc from 2014 with a gtx 1080 with no issues.

That PSU will fit a 4070ti or RX7900XT without issues

This is evenoreso as you're away from 1080p so CPU is less of an impact.

It's not the CPU currently limiting your frame rate it's the gpu

Stick a good gen 3 M.2 drive in there too and you'll be in great shape.
