What is meant by "Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you an Order Confirmation."

exactly what it says, if you've placed and paid for an order if say the GPU you've got in your system increases by £100 overnight, PCS aren't going to suddenly ask for another £100, likewise if the price of a compont drops in price yhey wont refund you

Thats what I thought. I just need to remind PCS that there is no need to delay my order because of a price incress of the 10tb harddrive. Thank you

I ordered a Valeon 17.3 rtx 3080 and was told that I could not have the 10TB harddrive because of it's cost. So I have just Told PCS if they do not get me my laptop with or with out the 10tb harddrive to me with in two weeks I will find them in breach of contract and will be informing Tradding Standards.

What??? Firstly there is no such thing as a 10Tb drive on a laptop? What are you on about?

If you ordered one, and then they run out of stock or some other reason prevented them from adding one to your order then they would refund you for what you had paid for it or given you other options (which I presume they did?), but to me it doesn't sound like anything that trading standards would have anything to do with (unless I'm missing something here). maybe there was some misunderstanding somewhere in the conversation you had with them, I don't know

Failing to make a two-week limit set by yourself would generally not be an issue for trading standards either at a rough guess.

The time waiting may well be annoying, many have unfortunately seen delays over the last year or so due to stock problems throughout the industry :(
Hopefully this gets sorted for you sooner rather than later

And what was the reason they gave? Not your interpretation of it but copy and paste please?
this was in a voice conversation with the tech department after along conversation of how they had ordered two different chasie's but were unable to get them in stock. So it was suggested I could cancle my order and re-order the Valeon chasie that thay had in stock but I could not have the harddrive as they had gone up in price ( T&C 3.2) . At the same time the agent was in a slow conversation with a supervisor via message app. The agent also needed permision to carry the order out so I left it to the agent to process it and I would phone back saturday to check. so saturday I phoned and the agent asked me to give him some time to get this done, so I gave them 5 days. So phoned up to check only to find nothing had been done and I was still waiting on chasie that they still had no Idea of when they would get it in. But now I have be told for the second time that it's going into build. So I reminded them of the last time this happened and that I would escalate this as I was sick and tired of phoning up and hearing a diffrent story/Reason.

No subsequent credit note. But more fool me is that I accepted the offer of laptop with no harddrive as i'm desperate to get this laptop for my work so I can keep my promise and spend more time with my kids. but I can't at the moment as I need this second job to pay for GPU rental to compleat the contract work I took on when PCS last told in july that my laptop had gone into build and I should have it within 10days (which never happend)
But if they let me down now/ this time I will take them to court, I just d'not want to go down that road as I stiil have more business I would like to do with them.

This thread is more fun than old episodes of Perry Mason.

Will he sue or won't he? Will there be a surprise witness at the trial? Will the 10TB drive ever be found?

Tune in tomorrow for the next gripping episode.....

Nah it’s classic Columbo as he keeps revisiting the original suspect (10TB hard drive) over and over again.

I'm glad some one is having fun. But this is not funny to me as I'm the one who has paid three and half grand to PCS for a laptop and all I have got from PCS is story's and lie's. ha ha more like the good the bad and the ugly .

Be careful accusing PCS of lying. You need proof that the person giving you information actually knew that it was wrong at the time they told you, in order to claim that they lied.

You seem particularly bullish in threatening to sue PCS (good luck with that by the way) and yet you're quite prepared to leave yourself open to legal action for libel.

As I stated above It's the last thing I want to do but PSC are making it hard All I want is my order that I paid for to be sent to me, thats all!
I'm not wanting a fight. Question: from reading my other thread( https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/advice-to-those-in-customer-service-sales.81535/) and this thread do you think this is a normal or acceptable way to treat a customer?
