Hello I recently upgraded my pc through pcspecialist and I sent my power cable with it but when they returned my pc I never got my cable back I was just wondering if someone can help me find the right cable if they can’t return my one to me
I have a 550w power supply
It was a kettle cable I think(I keep seeing online that you need to make sure it’s got the right fuse or something but I’m confused)
Can someone please tell me the right cable to get and where to get it from thanks a lot -bart

If in doubt, you could get this one:

That’s why I worry cause that’s says it’s for a monitor I don’t want to break my pc or anything is there not a place to get power cables for a 550w Corsair psu?

When I set up my new PC and monitor last week I mixed up the two kettle leads and they worked absolutely fine. Have you contacted PCS and told them about this? They might just send you a new lead...

I have but they take like 1-2 days to reply witch means I might not get an answer till Monday

PC cables are exactly the same as monitor cables, any kettle lead will do, just needs a 13 amp fuse.

It’s a standard cable though, they don’t differ depending on what PSU you have.

Dose the lead need to be a 13amp rating or just the fuse it self to be 13amp.
I can only find a 13amp fuse but 10amp lead rating kettle lead.

The fuse needs to be 13A
What dose the lead rating have to be dose it matter or dose it need to be 10amp cause that’s the max I’m seeing also the to leads in this post aren’t 13amp there less the only place I can find them on is some weird website surely there is one on amazon I just can’t find one

Doesn't matter at all.

A 10A fuse will be perfectly fine. As I've mentioned already it's not there to protect your equipment, it's there to prevent a fire if your equipment malfunctions. Your PC is not going to draw anything like 10A (or even half that) so that fuse will be perfectly fine.

Hello I brought a kettle lead and it was a 5amp fuse in it if I swap it to a 13amp fuse will that be ok or is that something I shouldn’t do?
