There have been stability problems at 3600MHz using 4 sticks of RAM. I am not sure whether this has been fixed. If selecting 3600 RAM, it might be safer to stick with 2 sticks of RAM.
Good spot - I'd forgotten that - been a while since seeing a post about it.

This sticky thread was the first to raise the benefits of using 4 sticks of RAM with Zen 3. I am not sure the benefits are worth the risks at 3600 MHz
Thanks for pointing me at that. I remember seeing that thread now but since hardware isn't really my thing I hadn't actually watched the video until now. :)

What I would say is that he makes a big thing at the start of ensuring that, apart from what he's measuring, all other things are equal. He even says 'all other things being equal' at the end. The thing for me is that (at the moment at least) all things are NOT equal. There appears to be a stability issue with four sticks at 3600MHz for some users, though not for all. It is true that 3200MHz sticks seem to not be affected but since the root cause of the stability issue doesn't appear to be known I would personally not risk the potential stability issue of four sticks in order to gain the performance improvements shown - in one game at least even the presenter says are likely not going to be noticed by most users. :)

I will probably just stick with 16gb for now anyways, thanks for the advice. One last question, what pc case should i go for? theres so many and i would want the one with the best airflow.
