Hey people
Any advice much appreciated on which monitor to choose.
My poor old monitor died. Please ignore my ignorance if I state some nonsense. Unless you tell me otherwise, I believe I can push 1440p with RTX2060 with decent fps. I understand that not much point to go significantly above 100 Hz.
My ideal preference would be ultrawide - I really would like to experience that huge screen. Mainly play WOW, The Witcher and similar - not high end competitive level. I thought about LG UltraGear 32GP850 then MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD on smaller side. In both cases I have concern about contrast and black being gray in dark room (generally play in dark or slightly lit room). I don't want to compromise on HDR/contrast performance. I'm considering AW3423DW or AW3821DW as well if anyone has any input.
But then I saw Samsung Odyssey Neo AG95 LS49AG950NUXXU 1000R D QHD Curved Gaming - now I know this is overkill due to 240Hz but the size is amazing, obviously expensive £1500. I guess my main question is: is it a waste of money to get the Samsung LS49 given my setup below, given that I really am after widest I can get with good performance? Or any other suggestions please?
Thank you for any advice
My setup is as below:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Six Core CPU (3.7GHz-4.6GHz/35MB CACHE/AM4)
ASUS® TUF GAMING B550-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s) - ARGB Ready!
16GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB)
6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060 - HDMI, DP - VR Ready!
Any advice much appreciated on which monitor to choose.
