Help with graphics card. Please help!

Go on the game, goto video options and set the resoloution to the same as your desktop resoloution. Too me it just sounds like you've got the actual game settings set wrong. (sorry if it seems that im stating the obvious but not everyone has played a pc game before.)

How do I max my nVidia settings? Is it in control panel or do I have to overclock?

Period was meant to say program by the way lol
Should have a nvidia control panel under desktop properties somewhere, not sure how it works with win 7 but that's where it is with vista.
For ffxiv look under your ffxiv start bar folder for config and have a look through that for video settings

Nope, games all have their own options where you can set resolutions and such - a lot of these games you can easily do it from within the game, though from what JSG10 said, FFXIV may be slightly different as you seem to have to run a config option before playing to set them.

There are no in game video options on ffxiv, its all done from a separate config program found in the same folder

Yeah I found the FFXIV config a few days ago and sorted out the res and set the recommend settings. Much much better picture now.

And thanks to you guys I now understand more about in game settings.
