Help with gaming PC

I want to get a new PC. Budget around £1400. I want to do some gaming on the PC and am currently playing Fallout 4 but intend to play more demanding games in the future. I have a 22 inch monitor at the moment but wanted to get a 27 and change to a higher Hz eg 75? I also wanted to get VR at the end of the year but not sure what system yet.

or
i7-9700k with the ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-F Gaming motherboard

So is AMD better than Intel?
I have gone for cheaper RAM, does that make much difference?
I have also gone for the M.2 SSD 1TB version without the other hard driver which is a little more but not much
Do I need processor cooling?
I also don't need wifi

Right I think I am almost there! I saw that I could upgrade the M.2 SSD Drive to an Intel one. Would an Intel one be better than a PCS one?

Thanks

I changed the case to the one you recommended. I noticed it has a tray in the top (sorry probably wrong termanology) that could take a DVD player. I have a DVD player in an old computer. So I am assuming I could swap the DVD player over. I think the connectors are SATA?
