Help with buying new PC please?

Hi, I am looking to buy a new PC with an approx budget of 1k - 1.5k to be used for general internet, Excel, R and hopefully some gaming.

I only have a Dell 1080p monitor (G2722HS) and a smaller Acer 24" second monitor so not looking for anything to run 1440p upwards, just something to run GTA, Red Dead Redemption, PGA Tour23 Golf etc. but I'm pretty much clueless having never owned any kind of gaming PC.

Could anyone tell me if I'm asking too much for such a small budget (for gaming) or whether I have made any poor choices with my selections please ?
Any help/advice is much appreciated, thanks.

You have a perfect budget for a really strong 1440p machine mate it's honestly what I'd recommend aiming for a pick up a monitor in future

I'd want something like this, personally I'd avoid the Iron Wolf drives, they are great but they are designed to be a server rack so they can be very loud just an FYI. I've went with two M.2 Nvme SSD's for optimal read and write speed to make sure load times are at their fastest

You're actually getting reasonable value in at this budget now, which is nice to see back (Finally). As above, you're right on the cusp of 1440p. The only consideration is the GPU, the rest of the build has you covered.

Below is a 1080p build that I would go for. If you wanted to upgrade to 1440p I would consider the 3060Ti, as suggested above. Make sure you are certain though, don't get the card with a view to upgrade to 1440p next year.... if you're doing this, opt for 1080p now as the next gen cards are out in Q1 next year so there should be better value in upgrading.

The great thing is that you can swap the GPU out whenever you want to upgrade :)
