So….. I’m clueless when it comes to this stuff.

I’m looking for a decent laptop that can run things like photoshop and basic stuff with ease. I’ve made a laptop on the site and I’m unsure if everything is configured I don’t want to purchase it and the laptop comes and it doesn’t work I’m sorry I’m new to all this thanks in advance.

One of the great things with PCS is they check your spec before you buy it and tell you of any conflicts so you can correct them
It’s letting me go straight to purchasing can’t see anything saying there’s any problems does that mean it’s good to go ? And thanks for the helpful reply :)

If you post your prospective spec as per the above, then we can give some advice on weather it's appropriate.

Hi. It's difficult to comment given I don't really know your budget, the exact purpose of the laptop etc. Moreover, I admit I'm no laptop specialist.

A modest variation of your spec is below

Chassis & Display
Initia Series: 15.6" Matte Full HD 60Hz 45% NTSC LED Widescreen (1920x1080)
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen™ 7 8-Core Processor 4700U (2.0GHz, 4.1GHz Turbo)

Price: £758.00 including VAT and Delivery
Unique URL to re-configure: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/initia-amd-15/qD764ftEPd/

The differences are:

1. The Intel i5-10210U is a relatively old processor, introduced in 2Q2019. The processor is changed to the AMD Ryzen 7 4700U. This is an 8-core processor (vs. the 4 core you selected) introduced in in 2Q2020. This provides roughly 15% improved single core performance and around double the multi-core performance. It also has superior integrated graphics.

2. The PCS SATA SDD is switched for a same capacity PCS M2 SDD, which will be faster.

3. The memory is upgraded from 2133Mhz to 2666MHz, again adding some performance.

4. You pay £5 for a Silver warranty (why not?) and get rid of Bullguard because it's superfluous.

For an additional £50 this gets you a more capable laptop.

This may still not be an optimal build for you. Personally, I wouldn't pay £700 for your build or £750 for mine. I think I want to do potentially better. Back to needing a specific budget, a clear idea of it's application etc. I'm sure someone with greater expertise can improve on this if you provide more detailed info.

Thank you so much for the insight and my budget is around £700 to £800 at the most and it will be for general stuff browsing messing around with photoshop etc :)
