Hello!

I am looking for help on getting a new PC. I have looked through the forum and taken some advice from looking at other posts but would appricate some feedback!

Monitor - I will be running an MSI MAG 27CQ6F (180hz at 2560p x 1440p) for my main monitor. I will also have two 1080p x 1920p at 144hz as my second and third (Am unsure on exact specs as I have not bought them yet).

Usage - I only really game and may look to record in the future. I do not currently use my PC for anything intensive other than gaming. I play mainly FPS games.

Max Budget - My max budget is £3,000 but would prefer to be in the realm of £2,500.

Case
CORSAIR 3500X ARGB TEMPERED GLASS MID-TOWER (WHITE) - (I would probably send my own case as I am not a fan of the white)
Processor (CPU)

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Eight Core CPU (Up to 5.2GHz/104MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5) - (I would go for an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D - Out of stock)
Motherboard

ASUS® TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI (AM5, DDR5, PCIe 4.0, Wi-Fi 6)
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair DOMINATOR TITANIUM DDR5 6400MHz (2 x 16GB) KIT
Graphics Card
16GB GIGABYTE GEFORCE RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE MAX OC - HDMI, 3 x DP - (I was considering a 4080 but decided it would be overkill)
1st M.2 SSD Drive

512GB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 4700MB/sW)
1st M.2 SSD Drive
2TB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 6500MB/sW)

CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES™ - MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
Power Cable
1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)

Standard Build - Approximately 6 to 8 working days

I am aware that the new GPUs are coming out in Febuary and could be swayed for one. However I am unsure if I would need on considering what I use my computer for and fact I was hoping to get somthing sooner rather than later.

The 9800X3D is the best gaming CPU at the moment, so if the budget is there that’s what I’d recommend, but low supplies are keeping it OOS.

You can save a little by taking the RAM down to 6000MHz, as there‘s no significant performance with faster RAM other than in edge cases.

There‘s no need for the faster P44 Pro for games storage, but for the extra £33 I’d probably leave it in.

We’d suggest one of the newer ATX3.1 PSUs, unfortunately the 1000w model is the older ATX2.4 spec, so it’s either 850w or 1200w…and the 1200w gives you more headroom for GPU upgrades down the line.

The Corsair cables are cosmetic and personal choice.

GPU prices are high at the moment as the older models are in short supply, and the newer models aren’t in stock yet…but the RRP for the new 5070Ti is about the same as the outgoing 4070Ti Super…but we haven’t seen reviews/comparisons or board partner prices yet.

Feel free to send in your own case, as the selections are a bit sparse at the moment as cases are also being refreshed…if you like the dual chamber design then the 6500X or LliaLi O11 Dynamic / Evo are popular.

Looks good.

The only minor thing is the 3xRS fan kit, as that uses a different system to the cooler. The RX kit would be the pairing I’d go for as it would then use the same iCUE LINK connections/controller as the cooler…and mean fewer little wires around the case.
