pleas don’t buy that, it’s over 3 years old, and it’s poorly configured also, I’d suggest cancelling and getting some advice. You can’t change the order to a modern build as theyre on a different platform

As said, you can't modify it to a modern chipset as it's an entirely different configurator. You can cancel any time

Cancel the order and get advice. Just call up PCS.

• what it's for (gaming, work, video-editing, machine learning, all the previous or just one of them)
• what monitor is it being used with (make & model, or resolution & refresh rate)
• what's your MAX budget (so you don't keep asking what we can do if you throw another £100 at it)
• any space / aesthetic / RGB wishes/constraints

Hello, this PC is intended for VFX simulations and rendering tasks, not gaming. I’ll be using software such as Houdini, Maya, After Effects, and Nuke, etc. Monitor is not ordered yet and my budget is around £1,400 without monitor.

It appears that those softwares demand a decent CPU and GPU, which would be difficult to obtain on your limited budget.

This is the bare minimum I would consider, but you should wait for further advice from someone with more experience on the matter
