dont these new cpus need new motherboards? im sure i read there are not any mobos out there that support them yet.

yeah its a new socket, cant remember the number though.

I'd rather wait till whatever is released after Haswell. cant remember the name of that cpu either.

I think you had the words Broadwell and Skylake on the tip of your tongue Tom.

I thought I read last year that Haswell was to be soldered to the motherboard which would make it one unit. Not read anything about that lately though.

How long I wonder before we get a motherboard with integrated memory and primary SSD chips.

BTW it is likely that PCS already has Haswell, at least for testing purposes.

Isn't the 780m a rebadged 680mx? It seems to have the same or similar spec. Infact I seem to recall the MX has the slight edge in memory regards. Therefore if you can get 680mx in sli I would not wait for 780s and get the 80s now.

Do you care about a tiny power reduction and minimal performance increase ?.

Also regarding the new intel cpu's haswell which are basically exactly the same as ivy only better power saving and onboard graphics boost which most people dont even care about as they use dedicated graphics cards.

I dont think they do 680mx sli and you cant even buy a single gtx680mx from pc specialist

The reason the 680mx is not available is probably because it was not made for laptops it was designed for macs or apples or something cant remember.

Have nvidia set a release date for the 780m and how long does it take pc specialist to get them in stock after they are released?
