Has Anyone Ever Had Their PC Specialist Order Be Misdelivered?

Mine has. I ordered on the 11th of February and it was apparently delivered on the 17th of March. In the image I have marked an X where my house is and you can see the delivery is nowhere near. I spoke to someone on the phone on Saturday and was told I would hear back. I didn't, so I rang again this afternoon and spoke to someone else, and it was as if my Saturday call didn't happen. Again, I await a response. I'm very worried, this was an order in the thousands of pounds. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

Yes I have had deliveries be delivered to the wrong address many times in the past. Not from PCS mind you - but with the same delivery company (and companies) that PCS use. It happens sometimes.

Typically it's the same number house but on a different street or on the same street but at the wrong number - such as the sort of scenario where you live - all streets with the same name.

Have you tried asking at the address shown if they have received a delivery with your name on it? It's about 100m from where you live by the looks of it? With so many deliveries these days, many people will think that someone has sent them a gift or surprise or whatever and happily accept it without thinking or checking if it is actually for them.

Don't be worried though - I have every faith in PCS sorting it out. Inconvenient? Yes. But you won't be out of pocket if it wasn't delivered to you.

Thanks for the reply. I can understand a misdelivery to a similar address, like if I was 1 Charles Street and it went to 1 Charles Avenue, but this is the right street but totally different numbers. I'm in a low single digit number and this is a square with 30s and 40s, it isn't possible to tell which exact number it went to, I knocked on all the doors but everyone is pleading ignorance. I'm worried sick over this.

There's no need to worry, the build is fully covered and if it's misdelivered and can't be located, then the delivery company are liable to pay the insurance cost back to PCS. That's not anything you need to concern yourself with.

Contact PCS, they will liaise with the courier company themselves, you won't need to do anything. Worst comes to the worst, PCS will just ship a replacement (which won't go into a queue, it will be built as a priority).

You're covered from all angles.

Who was the delivery company? That doesn't look like a DPD webpage?

Just have a bit of patience though as PCS will have to contact the delivery company who in turn will have to liaise with the actual driver as well before reporting back.

Delivery companies at the moment seem to be taking pictures of the delivery being made in place of obtaining a signature (due to covid) so with any luck, they will have a snapshot saved somewhere of the doorway / driveway of who they delivered to but it will take a while to fish out and investigate.

As all have said here already - it is a total inconvenience - and frustrating - but don't worry it will be sorted out.

We live in a number 4 and I have had stuff be delivered to 40, 44 and also a 62. Go figure! Sadly it comes down to the care of the specific driver on the day. But it is for PCS to sort out - not you. You just need to tell them you didn't receive it and they will do the rest.

Im more intrigued that someone took a delivery of a brand new pc and didnt say a word... have you tried walked round to see if you can spot anything?

It would be so funny if you go past that corner and someone is sat with your PC in their living room....
I'd love if someone just dropped off a free pc at my door!!

Hopefully the delivery driver will remember where they dropped it and that person would be held accountable. It's a criminal offence to accept a package unless you're a neighbour and the account states that it's ok to leave with a neighbour.

These parcels HAVE to be delivered to the customer, they're not allowed to drop it anywhere if they're not in, and have to obtain a signature on delivery. So both the person who received it and the delivery driver would be held heavily accountable in this instance.

COVID has changed quite a lot in the South at least - signatures are no longer required for 'signed-for' deliveries - and the couriers seem to be accepting the additional liability that comes with being unabel to prove who received items.

I didn't have to sign for my PC - the doorbell rang, when I opened the door it was on the doorstep and the driver was waving at me from the seat of his van.

Still, the OP won't be the loser here one way or the other.

Did they take a photo of you with the parcel when they left it?

Most of my larger parcels they've done that as a form of signature, certainly with DPD and most amazon deliveries.

I like to pull stupid faces whilst embracing the parcel to show the love :ROFLMAO:

He didn't tell me if he did take a photo. Maybe I missed my big breakout opportunity! 🕺

Some couriers have asked me for my name - which they then type into their little handheld gizmos - one or two have had me physically sign - the majority have just handed items over, or left them on the doorstep, rang the bell and walked away.

Now that I think of it - a lot of people in the area ring my bell and walk (or run) away, particularly the kids. I'm getting paranoid now! 😟

I did have a little scout around to see if I could see any boxes or anything. It was a brand new PC, two 27 inch monitors and a gaming chair, so if someone has helped themselves to it they are a real scumbag.

Sucks to hear about this situation. I’m sure PCS will do everything they need to do to rectify the situation, and as has been mentioned none of the fault is down to you and the it will be handled properly.

For the missing packages it might be worth searching the local online marketplaces (eBay, Gumtree etc) to see if the same items have been posted there recently.
