Graphics Issue?

Right playing games is nice on the new rig, the only problem i've found is panning the camera from looking down to looking up in a slow motion makes the screen very jittery as if you shake the mouse when you look round in a game and also it makes a line of the game repeat for milliseconds but still long enough to notice and as much as it doesn't make a difference to gameplay it's annoying and shouldn't be like this from a brand new pc.

going left to right as if turning your head is fine it's just up and down. i'm assuming it's either the graphics card thats not rendering the game properly or is it something else? it happens on all games aswell so it's not one game with the problem.

Nope turnt on the vertical refresh rate and it made it worse

turnt it off and it was exactly the same as when i turnt it on.

we have had a few reports of this sort of thing with the ATI / AMD drivers, i would recommend removing them completely and downloading the very latest from ATI. If that doesnt work it may be we need to revert to an older driver. What version are you running at the moment and is it the one we put on?

Version 2011.0104.2155.39304 and yes it is the one you guys put on i only got the pc thursday lol and i've had to ring up quite a few times since i have had it because even though it was tested. the pc was not even set up properly for first use.

From what i have read the optical drive had a loose connection. This happens when we transport machines. The only way to guarantee that doesnt happen is to glue them in place, a practice that is employed by some system builders and is just ridiculous.

Having bought a high end AMD GPU, graphics drivers updates and problems with the latest release of drivers is just part of ownership im afraid, once you find a driver that works well most people tend to stick to it until they have read about peoples experiences of latest releases. The same applies to Nvidia but they have a better track record, barring that one time they released a driver which turned the GPU's fan off and burned out a load of cards.

The version number i am after will be the Catalyst Control Centre version, the latest being 11.2

yeh my nvidia burnt out thats why i dont use them anymore.

it's awaiting being approwed my post because i put a picture on it for you but it is a 2011.0 version so it's .2 behind the version your lookign for. so DL the new one over the top? or uninstall then download?

yeah it will automod images etc until you get to 10 posts but i can see them anyway.

Yep that gives us a good place to start, lets remove all ATI software, Driver and CCC then put on 11.2 and see what happens.

remove through control panel then restart, then goto device manager and select the GPU, uninstall there and tick remove driver files. Reboot again and install the new ones, reboot and test.

doesn't give me the option in control panel only to repair. will do the other bits and delete then reinstall the 11.2 from website. brb
