graphics card overclocking?? Or not??

I have a 8GB AMD RADEON RX5500 XT with a ASUS TUF X570 motherboard. I am playing Star Citizen with it and it runs OK but the Graphics card is running at 99% capacity. I get get about 40-60fps during game play but it is getting hot. Do you think I should overclock the graphics card or I am down the route of replacing the card. I have only had the PC a week guess I should have asked before buying but I was going on the published recommended specs. Any Advice for an old gamer.

Do note that overclocking the GPU will void the warranty on it (unless PCS have changed their rules on that recently-ish- other mods: If my memory has failed me again lemme know :))

What monitor are you using? From what I've read 40-60fps on a 1440p resolution is about right. If it's a 144Hz monitor you could try, if possible, to restrict it to 60Hz while playing the game and seeing if that helps. I would say that it is likely to run hotter as that case is not very good in terms of airflow
Illiyama 27inch bought again through PCS fingers crossed that FS2020 runs ok.

Thanks I think I might leave that then. All is running ok. Just a bit hot and maxing out at 99%
