Ok you lost me, it wont run?

EDIT:

Find the games setup file if your trying to install it, copy all the files to a folder if its a cd.

Right click it, properties, compatability mode, select XP and run as admin. Try it again.

if its installed and wont run do the above to the games exe file.

I am yet to come across a game i couldnt get to run on Vista / 7

righto, whats the error code?

Try this in the meantime, find the games shortcut and right click to see where its installed, then find the folder its installed in.

In that folder there will be a .exe file that runs the game:

Right click it, properties, compatability mode, select XP and run as admin. Try it again.

DXDiag report? Yes it will, a lot.

It allows Vista to run the program with certain settings which compensate for the changes made in Vista such as UAC.

here is pc dx diag report:

It wont work unless you find the .exe, find the .exe!

At least i can tell from the DXdiag that your GPU, the integrated Intel GMA 3100 (euw) does support DX9. Sort of.

Is there a shortcut for the game on the desktop / start menu? The properties of the shortcut will point straight to it.

Full path should be under target

i have found the folders and on vista are you sure the .exe is not called the application?

im at work now so wont be able to try this for 12 hours or so put are you saying the target when you right click properties shows you exactly where the .exe file is?

Gorman

Author Level
Yup its in that folder, goto folder options in control panel or search for folder options in the start menu search bar and untick hide extensions for known file types under the view tab if your having trouble.

Gorman

Author Level
check the windows application logs for the exact error the game gives when it crashes out. If there is nothing there, sulk and bin the game.

All games upto and including DX 9 and shader model 2.0b will work, older ones if you set them up right. Its just a matter of toning down the graphics, a lot.
