The BSOD Doctor
I really don't see the point of Optane in front of an NVMe SSD. Are there are benchmarks that show the difference in an NVME SSD read speeds with and without Optane?

Optane makes some sense with an HDD and it's long seek and latency times, but with an SSD I just don't see the point. Wasted money in my book.

As to the OP's question, the numbers don't lie. Even with Optane the Intel only claims 1450MB/s read speeds whilst the Samsung boasts more than double that at 3500MB/s....

BTW. The thread title says 'hard drive' and these are SSDs. Just sayin'

Optane is not meant for end user products, it’s designed as a fast cache for high volume RAID HDD setups like on old render farms or NAS setups.

it wouldn’t be good as a user product, you get more performance for less money with an M2

Hi, I cannot find add "Run with graphics processor" to Context Menu. My NVIDIA GeForce Experience drives are up to date.

NVIDIA Control Panel also does not show "Select the preferred graphics processor for this program"

Please help me. I am running GTA Vice City at 30 FPS. Some games can be synced to GeForce Experience so no problem with that. Some games are not shown there so I need to set Run with High Graphic options.

MY GPU is RTX3060TI.

Please help!! :)

Your CPU doesn't have integrated graphics, so it's always running off the nvidia card.

The setting you're talking about is only available on mobile products that switch between on board and dedicated GPU's, doesn't work like that on desktops.

What monitor are you pairing the system with? What resolution and refresh rate or make and model if you're unsure?

I am using MSI Optix AG32CQ 2k with 144 FPS. I do not know some games are slow and laggy. Maybe I need to manage settings in the game?

Unfortunately that build is all over the place and it's never going to be particularly good.

The CPU is woefully underpowered for a lot of games.

The PSU is completely unsuitable for the build, I'm surprised it's not cutting out during gaming.

It's got extremely slow RAM and not enough for most games.

It's just not going to perform well I'm afraid.

It works well on Horizon with 90 FPS but with GTA Vice City with 30 FPS??

For the above case, the fans’ description is not clear.

Could please clarify this?

10 x 120mm / 4x 140mm (for back or top)? - I can fit 10 fans?

10 x 120mm / 4x 140mm (for back or top)? - I can fit 10 fans? (It seems too much or it is typos?)

Fans Included: 3 x 120mm w/ Addressable RGB LEDs

Thanks!!

It seems they've just put the same bit of info twice. For the number of fans though, I believe it's right. For 120mm fans, 3 on the front (which are included on the 5000X), 3 on the top, then theres a vent on the non glass side for 3 more then 1 on the back which should total 10. For 140mm it'll be 2 on the front and 2 on the top.

Or just check the image @AgentCooper just posted 😆

Yup, as I said, it just seems they've written the "10 x 120mm / 4x 140mm" line twice. This PC case won't fit 20 fans in it or anything 😂

That case includes 3 120mm fans which means you can add up to another 7 yourself either with an AIO CPU cooler or the "extra case fans" option. Alternatively, you could add more yourself when the PC arrives.

Once you've worked out the fan situation, I'd highly recommend posting your spec to the "Check This Spec" forum so we can have a look over it to make sure you're getting the best build for your money. If you do, we'll need to know your budget, monitor (make and model or resolution AND refresh rate) and your use case (ie gaming, video editing etc)

You'll find a lot of helpful info in the thread linked below which I'd recommend reading

Does PCS offer a service to swap all my component over to a new case for me :ROFLMAO:
😂 Sadly not. If it's a build you already own, there's not much you can do about it. And as far as I'm aware, changing the case or motherboard will void any warranty you still have left on the PC. You may be able to call them to discuss it to see if they won't but I can't guarentee anything.

If it's a build yet to be built you could send in your own case! You'll just want to make sure it fits all your components!

Unless this is a totally r/woosh moment and you've just seen how eyewateringly horrid, I mean beautiful the 5000X is and now want one for yourself 😂

How about CPU fans? How many cpu fans I can use? 1 - 3 or? Does 10 includes cpu fans?
