Gaming pc spec help

Hi, would anyone will be able putting spec together for me please? It's for my daughter 17y, she is not a very heavy gamer, I would say moderate to heavy maybe.
She plays Forza horizon, elden ring, need for speed, COD, Fortnite, the last of us, rainbow 6 siege, she is not going to do any video editing.
She is starting fresh, so she will be looking for recommendations for a monitor as well.
Her budget is up to £1000 without the monitor.

@Aggie Further to this, the new hardware will be announced at CES on January 6th, so I'd wait before buying anything.

Thank you, I need advice as I don't know much about spec.
My daughter wants to have a fully new set up for moderate gaming , no video editing, she will be getting a new monitor as well, recommendations welcome :). Budget is up to £1000 without the monitor.

I'm afraid such a budget will not allow for a proper custom gaming system, even an entry-level 1080p one.

A solid, modern 1080p gaming PC would cost around £1600/1700, whereas a sub-optimal/non-gaming system would cost not less than £1300/1400. I would not go any lower than that because it would be a throwaway and/or outdated machine with no room for future upgrades. At that pricing point, a second hand PC or console would be a better value, IMHO.

Thank you for letting me know.
What's the difference with the pre built pc then, would a pre built pc be enough for her or recommendations would be to save more money and get something around £1500/1600? And if so, would you be able to recommend something?

I would not recommend a prebuilt system because they are usually poorly designed and contain cheap/old gen components (generally the motherboard, power supply, cooler), which will limit the future upgradeability. I wouldn't buy a pre-built system unless I had no other option.

She decided to wait, thank you anyway.
Wise choice ;)
