I am thinking about building this as its a gift for a family member, is this a decent enough build guys?

Its for gaming, Monitor is 1440p, 144hz and budget is about £1300

Yeah they are worse than AMD in pretty much every measurable metric at the minute. They've really dropped the ball the past two generations whereas AMD have come on leaps and bounds to their credit

Is this a monitor that's already been purchased? Well specced 1440p isn't really possible for £1300, I'd be looking at £1450 minumum with £1,500-£1,600 being more comfortable. £1300 would afford you a quite nice 1080 system though

Not really mate, I'd change the power supply the CV models are basically for office computers not gaming machines. I'd also change the storage set up and the CPU cooler but of course that would depend on the CPU choosen

There is a lot that can be rebalanced here to give you a much stronger longer lasting build

Just realised this is still the Intel config. We would all advise you to avoid Intel especially then 11th series, they are extra terrible

This would be my build in the same price range. This is a 1440p 144Hz versus your 1080p build for approx. the same costs, except mine also has much better/faster storage (blisteringly fast in comparison), plus a very good PSU to ensure you'll be able to make upgrades for years to come

That's a great help cheers I will go with this, its not letting me change the processor when i go on amend order for some reason

You need to ring PCS mate, they can change it for you. You wont be able to change it yourself they are on different configurators but PCS will be happy to change
