Looking to buy a gaming PC with a budget of £1200-£1400. Could you guys suggest some builds? Also what is better, an I7 or an AMD Ryzen 2700x processor?

My build there is to pair with a 1440p 60Hz Monitor.

I would need to purchase a monitor. Budget for that is probably £150-£200.

The new motherboards and CPUs do carry a fairly high premium. And the Super graphics cards are disappointingly priced.

You could economise quite a bit with a 2nd Gen Ryzen CPU and motherboard.

The savings would let you get a very good monitor, 1440p 144hz with freesync or gsync.
