Gaming computer for

Oke so at this point now im stumped. What would ye suggest I do?

I want a Gaming computer that will last for years to come and also be able to do my work related stuff on it like rivet/autocad and photoshop and not have it slow down like crazy when i do instensive work on it. I'd really like to keep the price at 2000 but obviously im willining to go a little bit more to ensure a good build.

Go for the air cooler and drop the OC processor (get the non-k version).

Err no idea, if there isn't an option for one in the configurator you wont have an issue getting the 'k' version. All the k shows essentially is that its multiplier unlocked for overclocking. You don't need to worry about that though, it doesn't make a difference if you don't overclock it.

Well they're different sockets, you'd need a different motherboard for either of them. the 4820k is a socket 2011 processor whereas the 4770 is a socket 1150.

The 4820k has a 10mb cache and a higher base clock speed (neither of which will make much of a difference for you I don't think) and can support more ram (4820k:64gb vs 4770:32gb) both are overkill though as 16gb is likely more than enough.

Thanks for the links, I was just doing some reading and now im thinking just get the i7-4770. If ye think it will suit all my needs and will last me for a long time I may be set in my decision

It says it can Turbo Boost to 3.9, What does that mean?

The maximum clock speed the processor will reach (before any overclocking tweaks are done) is 3.9Ghz

Oke so this is the way its looking right now, Im just curious as well about the motherboard options. Is the one I've selected good?

The On board sound is only 5.1 why cant I change it to 7.1?

The motherboard you selected is a micro-ATX boards, it doesn't have as many expansion slots as the standard ATX. If you don't need those it is fine. As I mentioned in a previous post I don't think the collect and return will apply to you since you are located outside the UK. You may want to confirm that with PCS before adding silver warranty.

Your motherboard and PSU do not support SLI.

Do I need to get cables in the order or will they come with it? i.e for the monitor etc and what kind of cables would be best for gaming?
