Trying to configure a gaming pc build and need some opinions. This is coming out at £1800 which is the budget I’m aiming for. My monitor is a BENQ - EL2870U. Any help would be appreciated!

Others have far more expertise than me, but...

16GB of RAM is normally enough for gaming so unlikely to need 32GB unless playing flight sims

500GB primary drive for OS is normally recommended, so that it's kept below half full for maximum efficiency

850W RMx PSU, or even 1000W if you can stretch to it - CX series is more budget build

Don't need the additional thermal paste, the Corsair coolers come with good quality paste

Thank you for the advice! I will be playing flight sims, hence the 32GB. With those changes you’ve suggested is there anything else that would be done to get the most out of my budget or is the spec okay?

That's a 4k monitor I think, and a 3060 GPU is more suited for 1080p gaming.

But if you're playing older games and happy to run them (or render them) at 1080p it might be ok.

If you're wanting 4k gaming it might be worth downgrading the CPU and upping the GPU a bit. Switching to the KF version of the CPU saves you £30 if you don't need the integrated graphics.

I think I’m going to up my budget and invest that into the GPU. Is there much difference between the K and the KF CPU’s for gaming?
