Can you post the full specs from your orders page?I have a new build laptop with Windows 11.
Some, but not all function keys do not work, even after removing paired devices.
F2 to F8 sound and brightness functions.
Is there a way to enable these?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Ron

How to Post Your Specification to the Forum - Check this Spec
When creating a forum post looking to discuss a PC spec there's a really simple way to post the spec in question here. IF YOU HAVEN'T ORDERED ONE YET AND ARE LOOKING FOR ADVICE ON A BUILD follow this step. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ORDERED AND ARE ASKED FOR SPECS follow the next post. Click the...www.pcspecialist.co.uk
PCS does not manufacture anything; they are partners with barebone chassis manufacturers (Clevo and TongFang) and then assemble the remaining components (RAM, display, M.2, etc.) in the same way that other SIs do. Is the Initia Clevo or TongFang? It is a new build from PC Specialist so it is unbranded.
It’s on a label on the underside of the laptopI am sorry but I only have the order specs. I have no idea how to find out the maker, but thank you for asking.
I may just ask the company to check remotely as it is a new purchase.
Doesn't state the manufacturer anywhere? Weird.Apart from serial number, pcspecialist with address the only indication is the model number N16LMO.
I did find the make, it's a Nextcore model, I can find one listing on a Clevo reseller although with a different processorI will, but thank you for taking the time. I would send a photo but I assure you that there is no useful information apart from serial numbers and model. It is annoying but not worrying. It is probably a simple fix. Fingers crossed.
That would be really helpful if you couldThank you. If solved, I will post here in case anyone else gets the same problem.
Perhaps Nextcore is a French reseller that stocks it, completely forgot about the specs details!According to PCS, it's a BMorn model (when you configure then go to the post to forum page):
"Bmorn N16LM0 (i3-1315U, FHD, 60Hz sRGB 100%, FP, AX201, Blank KB)"
Although strangely, it's not listed on their website
I am reluctant to post this because it shows me be the idiot person that I am. I am going to use my at age at 78 as an excuse. Prior to purchasing my laptop I mainly used a Chromebook and an outdated Windows laptop. If I needed to increase volume etc I pressed the key. On this new laptop I didn’t even think to press the function key and volume keys together. I had a lightbulb moment and all is good. I will go back into my dark corner and hide. Thank you for responding and I am sorry to have wasted your time. That would be really helpful if you could
TongFang offers this option in the Control Center. There's also probably an option to 'force' the function keys to work as media keys (either Function Lock, or something in keyboard settings).
