Flickering on games

You should only need to use the HDMI to DVI cable & the audio cable from the audio out(green) on your soundcard to monitor if you dont have stand alone speakers.

tried that but for some reason the sound didnt work? it had to have both in

Strange,connecting more than one video cable to monitor usually causes problems,not solve them.

hmm well either way i need a new monitor the other one was rubbish when on games, is there a site i can check out good monitors at decent prices?
