This is my first time creating a pc spec without assistance from a friend or acquaintance who knows what they are talking about. Would like to have it reviewed and any advice is welcome. Monitors will be: Acer Nitro QG0 Gaming Monitor | QG270S3 (Main monitor) and Acer KG271 (Secondary monitor). Budget is €2500, current choices come to €2387. Usage is primarily gaming. Thank you in advance

Hi there,

Can you share the configuration link from the bottom of the spec you have posted? There's a guide in the below. When copying across you want to paste in all the data including the link so that we can have your starting point and understand where it's shipping to etc.

Have you considered a budget for a new monitor? 1080p won't need anything like a 4070, so the GPU is a substantial waste of money as it is. With the PC budget you could get a good 1440p build, but would need the monitor to support.

The Acer Nitro QG0 Gaming Monitor is relatively new and the other one is used simply for videos or extra programs open in the background, so if anything I'd be more willing to simply downgrade the gpu. I assume the 30 series would the be the recommendation?

In your shoes mate this is where I'd be aiming, not sure why you want to run RAID 0 and honestly you're going to have to upgrade your monitor for a modern GPU. ideally you want a 1440p 144hz monitor in this budget range, using a 1080p monitor with a high end GPU is just pointless you'll see no benefit over buying a GPU half the price because the GPU will be restricted by what the monitor can display

I'd pocket the savings when sticking with the monitor. I've selected certain other components with upgrading to something more powerful down the line though.

Agree on the RAID 0, don't really see the point of it to be honest. You don't want to have everything on the one drive anyway, so I've opted for 2 drives. Keep the OS & programs only on the primary drive. Second drive is for games. They can get quite big nowadays so you may want to consider 2TB over 1TB for the secondary.

You're paying quite a bit for cabling. Just wanted to point out that the sleeved cables are very nice, but not necessarily something you will notice daily. Opting for black seems strange to me also, you won't really gain anything over the stock PSU cables.

Appreciate the feedback, especially on the raid thing, I'll be honest I hadn't much of a clue what it was. I tried to do a bit of research on it and didn't realize it was something that wasn't really necessary. I will re-evaluate given the two configurations you've supplied me with along with the monitor advice and go from there. Thanks a lot.
