First time building a pc

Hi this is the first time I’m building a pc that I’ll be using mainly for gaming

I don’t really know much about amd processors which is why I’ve stuck with intel. I also know nothing about motherboards, power supplies and cooling stuf

I’ll be getting a 144hz monitor most likely 1080p but if I can find a good 1440p I’ll go for this

My budget is around £1500

Any help will be much appreciated :)

Also when I proceed with this build, it says I only need a 450w power supply. Any reason you chose the higher one? Thanks :)

I would suggest something better balanced. Regarding the PSU, you don't spec to your current requirements, but any future GPU upgrades down the 7 - 10 year lifespan of the PC:

Oo thank you, I never thought about future upgrades. This seems like a pretty good build. Any idea on when the 3060ti will be in stock?

I also compared this amd processor to the intel one I previously chose and it’s showing the intel one is slightly better. Would it still make sense to go for the amd?

All the RGB was just aesthetics for your setup but you can take off most of the rgb! Hope it helps

You must be looking at userbenchmark or cpubenchmark, they’re utter nonsense results with zero relation to real world performance.

For gaming, there will be no difference. substantially better security and features on the AMD, better upgradeability and better price. Intel are dead ducks for the foreseeable future and should be avoided at all costs.

I think the 3060ti is doing better than the 3070 stock wise so should be available fairly soon.
