First things to do after PC arrives?

I've already had help from moderators on the forum spec'ing my new gaming pc, and I've got a few weeks until it arrives. When it's delivered are there any programs I should be downloading to get it ready before I move onto the fun stuff?

I know you're supposed to run Windows update several times, even if it says no updates available, but that's about it. I'm interested in this as well and was going to ask the same question.

I thought I had read a post with a few things, but can't find it now.

As Nursemorph said, everything should be OK as PCS will have run thorough tests. Plus the W10 updates at Keithbeaks said.

A couple of things to remember and things many of us have done or not done, myself included. Make sure to attach the Wifi antennae and check where you are plugging in the Monitor, it is easy to link it to the on board graphics and not the GPU.

@keithbeaks I seem to recall soemthing about preparing for a PC to arrive somewhere....could have sworn there was a sticky but apparently not.

Yes I thought one of the usual suspects had posted this recently, not a sticky, and I thought I had a screenshot of it. But I can't find that.
