Interestingly (at least to me), the 980 Pro has the same write endurance as the 970 Evo Plus and only half that of the 970 Pro (when comparing the same size drives).
So - the PCS M.2's are made by Netac - there is no TBW or warranty info on their site - which is no surprise. However......
I can see that the Netac drives use MLC and TLC technology in their 3D NAND flash depending on which capacity drive your looking at. I still can't tell which drives use which tech though.
When it comes to 3D NAND flash memory - the typical configurations are - SLC (Single bit per cell) - MLC (Multi, or two bits per cell) - TLC (Triple) - QLC (Quadruple) and PLC (Penta) - for 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 bits per cell respectively. SLC is the most relaible and best performing and PLC is the worst, relatively speaking.
For comparison then, both the Intel and Corsair drives use QLC - which is second from the bottom of the above list. The Samsung 980 and 970 EVO (or PRO) all use MLC - second from the top.
The differences that @Bigfoot points out between TBW values on the 970 EVO vs 970 PRO - despite them using the same technology - shows how poor an indicator this is - but nonetheless it would appear that the PCS drive - with it's MLC or TLC - is built on a technology somewhere in between the Samsung and Intel/Corsair offerings.
So my bet would be the PCS drives are better than Corsair and Intel but not as good as Samsung. Which still makes them a total bargain!
