First PC for gaming

Hi

It's my first time buying a gaming pc, my budget is £1500 but am having a hard time understanding what components are best.

I like playing RTS like stellaris, xcom and star wars games.

I would appreciate help in what specs I should have to run most games.

Good morning, Does that budget include the monitor, mouse and keyboard or do you already have those components?
If you already have the monitor, it would be good to understand what resolution/refresh rate it is... Do you have a model number?

For £1500 you're on the edge really. You'll either be in for an extremely high end 1440p gaming system or a lower end 4k gaming system. I would suggest that as it's your first gaming PC you should probably aim for 1440p. This will all be monitor budget dependent though.

What have you set aside for the monitor? Money wise? 1440p would be around £300. For 4k, anything worthwhile is likely to be £400+. There's an excellent monitors guide here.

Are there any other requirements that you're looking for? Pretty case, RGB lighting, storage requirements etc? What other elements are you looking for that aren't specifically performance related?

Regardless of your wants/needs the budget likely has you covered, just asking the above queries to get something perfect for you :)
