So there's been a lot of upset gathering steam on the inter webs with intermittent games crashes on Intel 13th and 14th gen. Workarounds range from underclocking to disabling ecores. BUT, there are a lot of people finding that simply disabling hyperthreading is a proper solution. The findings...

The new hardware will be announced at CES in a few weeks (January 6th). In any case, I would recommend that you wait before purchasing a PC.

For gaming mainly i play strategy games but I would still like to be able to run new games well and i will be getting a new monitor for this pc

If you’re struggling to click on a link in post 2 and read through it, I think you’re miles away from being able to use a custom PC in all fairness, I don't think you'll be able to manage windows and drivers, and will struggle to maintain it

A branded system would be a better investment judging by your current skill level as they don't require the same level of technical knowledge to maintain.

Quick note to prospective buyers

We've had a few people recently who've gone ahead and ordered without getting advice and then come on after receiving it posting and asking what can be tweaked.... I know most of you will have some idea of components and their use and pairing, but for those that don't, seriously, get some...

Do you think the gpu being un unpgradeable is an issue? And is it worth going to more ram?
