First Gaming PC - Advice would be appreciated

Hi all,

I am looking into purchasing a Desktop primarily for gaming at 1080p 144hz and I am looking for advice on the following build.

I am currently using a basic 1080p monitor but I plan to upgrade to a 1080p 144hz monitor in the next few months. I have read previous posts on the forum that this case isn't the best due to the fans running at 100% regardless of load. Could you suggest a possible alternative for a similar price point?

My budget is around £1100.

I was also considering not purchasing Windows 11 outright, with purchasing later, but will this mean that component-specific software (RBG colors etc) will not be installed with a fresh install done by myself?

Couldn’t quite keep it to £1100. It’s better off spending a little more than having to spend twice by shortchanging yourself.

LIAN LI LANCOOL 215 GAMING CASE Much better case, the 4000D airflow is a cheaper option if you don’t care about RGB.

Thank you for your help, I’ve went ahead and ordered it today.

In regards to the CPU cooler, if I find the stock cooler to be too loud what would you recommend for an aftermarket cooler?

If ordering from PCS, the Frostflow 100 or 150 will be ample. If you game with headphones on though, it’s unlikely that it’ll be an issue, although obviously some people are more sensitive to background sounds than others so no guarantee either way! 🙂
