Hey everyone. Decided after decades of console gaming, that I finally want to build my own PC. I’m a complete beginner, and am admittedly a little nervous about it all. After seeing all the wonderful advice many of you guys offer to others, I’m hoping you can help set me on my journey.
To begin with, my budget would preferable be at £2000. If necessary, I could go a little over. I’d like any recommended builds to please include a 1440p monitor, keyboard and mouse if possible. I’m planning to use the finance option when I purchase. I notice in other posts, many recommend buying monitors that aren’t available on PCS. If this is a far better option, I would be open to it.
I’ll be mainly using this PC for gaming. In 1440p if possible. I will be doing light office work on it, as well as using the internet, streaming videos etc. The game I will be mainly playing will be Dayz (So tired of how badly it runs on console). I’ll be aiming to play modded servers. Others games I’ll playing will be Minecraft, City Skylines (Both with mods). My son will play Fortnite. I’d like to be able to play AAA titles if possible. I aim to maybe do some video editing from the games I play, so a system that could handle that would be great.

Would you guys recommend home installation assistance for someone who’s nervous, or should i not worry too much and do it myself?
