Hello friends i am looking for some advice as this is my first time not buying a Pre-built store bought PC. First item i am unsure about is the case i just picked one at random hoping someone could advise me on what would be good. Second is the overall build i have a maximum £2100 to spend on the tower this current build comes in at £2076 but im not sure if its optimal or if im over/under doing it. It will be used almost exclusively as a gaming device looking to game at 1080/1440p any advice would be greatly welcome thanks.

Which specific monitor are you going to be using, with what refresh rate? The monitor and GPU are directly linked so the difference between 1080p and 1440p is quite important when creating the build.

Sorry about that. Current monitor is MSI G274QPF-QD with 170 Refresh rate not opposed to upgrading it in coming months if its something that is required.

That's a good question, personally although that case "looks" ok, I would still prefer a high end branded one, reason being is that a LOT of attention is put into airflow on high end cases with expensive flow analysis software like SolidWorks that costs a fortune for business licenses and then you have to pay someone with the credentials to be able to make sense of that analysis and know how to adjust the alignment of parts to optimise that airflow.

Adjusting the cooler and case gets you this which is a far stronger overall design:

The other thing that should be said is it’s worth holding off until the 8th August as the new 9600x and 9700x are releasing, even though I don’t think they’ll beat the 7800x3d for gaming, they may well bring prices down, would be worth holding on a week or two if you can before putting the order in.

I would definitely spend the extra for a known case. The above is excellent for looking after your expensive components.

Definitely worth holding off for a nosey of the pricing if you can though.
