I’d change your storage to a 500gb samsung 980 and a 2tb barracuda and increase your power supply. As a 2TB 970 is really expensive

what resolution are you aiming to game at?

Atm I’m gaming at 1080p but looking to upgrade to a 4K screen. I just wanted to get the pc first but waiting for cpu and gpu.

Ok so 4K is not in my budget after I dropped that money on the pc. So for now 1080p for sure on a tv and looking to upgrade soon. Are the specs decent to be future proofed for a few years?

If you only target 1080p now, you can build a solid base and when you move to 1440p or 4k, upgrade your gpu in line. A 3060ti would be more than enough at 1080p

Oh really. I already changed to 100w more than they recommend. It’s no issue but I’m curious as to why I need to do more.
One of the reasons is to keep your upgrade path for new gpu open in 3 to 4 years time. By the time you need to upgrade to a newer GPU in the future it will likely require more power from PSU.

650w is the minimum.

as above for upgrading but also for overall performance, thermal efficiency and power efficiency.
