First Boot - CPU over heating and shutdown

Hello,

Just took delivery of a new PC.
Unboxed, removed packaging (inside and out), plugged in, powered up and the CPU temp increased sharply until the system beeped, fans turned red and a bios warning displayed stating cpu_fan header not recognised (or similar).

Haven't changed anything, and obviously support is closed till monday.
Any help appreciated, and here are the specs:

Open the case and check for loose wires. In particular leading from the power supply to the H150 cooler. Do any of the fans move when you have switched on the PC?

Also check the motherboard for any potential loose connections - carefully press in each one.

It might be that the wires from the cooler to either the PSU or the motherboard have come loose in transit.

Hello,

Thanks for the response.
Yeah, I had done all that having checked the internet.
The fans all work, spin, but after about 30 secs they turn red and the system shuts down (occassionally it lasts long enough to get into the bios, but it rarely lasts that long without shutting down).
The screen on the AIO variously flashes with a red warning triangle or a fan in a square - which represent either a tachymeter issue, or a general issue.
So I don't know...
Thanks

Sounds like you will have to call them Monday sorry.

Definitely no loose wires or unconnected wires from the cooler / fans then?

Have you kept your packaging - get it booked in quickly and if you are lucky it might get fixed and returned before Christmas - RMA the machine, they will booked DPD to collect it from you as long as you kept the packaging otherwise you might have to wait for them to send out packaging and then arrange collection.

After sales service is really good - Ive just recently had to experience it myself.

Check the cable from the aio pump to the cpu fan header on the motherboard is fully connected. It could be it’s just come loose. Worse case the aio has failed and needs replacing

OP already checked said no loose or disconnected wires.
