First AMD build

Hi everyone!
Just want to know your opinion on my build, its been ages since i had a modern desktop, was using laptop for many years.
Full AMD build:

Case: Corsair 3500X ARGB Mid Tower White

Ryzen 7 9800X3D Eight Core CPU (Up to 5.2GHz/104MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5

Gigabyte Aorus Elite X870E WiFi 7

RAM: 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 6000Mhz CL30 (2x16) ----> Do you think i need 64 GB for future proof? they have 64 GB but with CL40 timings. Worth it ?

16GB Radeon RX 9070XT Gaming ----> there is only one choice of a GPU but i would love to get a white Pure from Sapphire to match colour of the case. Can they arrange that? they offering Pure with Luna series and its in stock in another configurator.

1st M2 SSD Drive - 4TB Samsung 990 EVO PLUS

Power Supply: Corsair 1200W HXi Series Modular Plus Platinum V2 --- is that a quality PSU?

Corsair premium individually braided SLEEVED PSU Cable Kit Pro-White - 79£ Do i need that?

CPU Cooling: Corsair ICUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB 280W TDP high performance cooler 131£ ----> Good cooler?

Extra Case fans: 4x Corsair ICUE LINK RX 120PWM Fan+ Controller Kit ----> 78£ is that worth ti just for aesthetic?

3 years Platinum Warranty - 135£ --- seems worth it

Grand Total: £ 2917

What do you think/ recommend to change or improve?

Ive got Ultrawide 3440x1440 Monitor with 100 frames max.

Thank you!

What's your max budget? What monitor (make & model) will you pair with it?

Can you post the full specs including the reconfigurable link?

Ah sorry will do now!
I mentioned i have 3440x1440 ultrawide Acer Predator monitor with 100 fps max

Thank you for your reply!
My monitor is from 2015 its first ultrawide with high refresh rate and its max refresh is 100.

I really like the look of white build.

Few questions: You put 6400Mhz RAM CL 32 but as far as i know ZEN 5 CPU cant work with much more than 6000Mhz and if you set it higher they will split to 2/1 speed or something and will work much slower? Not sure how to explain it correctly but i think thats the idea, correct me if im wrong.
Also i was thinking to get 64 GB even if its got slower timings of CL40 to future proof.
32 GB CL 32 or 64GB CL40?

Also i was thinking about just one SSD for now as 4TB and later on to get another one. Unless you think its mandatory to have 2 SSSD right away? one with windows install and another with files/games?

Also i noticed you dropped warranty from 3 year collect and return to 1 year. Any reason? I think its worth for such an expensive purchase for a piece of mind?

Cheers

So, it will most likely be not suitable with a modern gaming PC. What model is it?

64GB are useless for gaming unless you'll play heavily modded games or MSFS. In that case, you might select 2x32GB Kit.

Regarding the RAM frequency: the MB will most likely default the 6400Mhz kit to 2:1 because the default behaviour is that as soon as you exceed 6000Mhz with EXPO or XMP, it goes to 2:1 mode, but not all MB do this.
The 2:1 mode set your UCLK to half the speed of your MCLK, which looks bad but really not that bad: the UCLK is extremely much faster than MCLK and most of the memory latency is from the memory, not from the memory controller.
Anyway, you can manual tweak to 1:1 or simply buy a slower kit, if you're not confident on this :)

Here's a video explaining how RAM DDR5 and FCLK (infinity fabric) OC work on AM5.

Always keep separate the OS from your main drive; we never recommend a single M.2 configuration unless there's no other option.

This is entirely up to you; if you're willing to spend extra to extend the warranty, that's OK; often, hardware failure occurs well before the one-year mark, but that's up to you.

Cheers! im just going to ask them to arrange me a 32 GB 6000 Mhz CL30, even if its in black colour!

Motherboard
GIGABYTE X870E AORUS PRO ICE WHITE (AM5, DDR5, PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7) ---> regarding this motherboard? It doesnt say anywhere that its got a BLueTooth. Does it?
i googled it and it seems like its should have BT 5.3 version. But it doesnt state on the specs page.

It's a shame a full-white build has black RAM!

Take the 32GB 6000MHz CL40 and manually tweak the timings. :)

Is that ram will be able to do that? otherwise how cl 30 is more expensive: :)

Or can i get Corsair Dominator Titanium 6400 CL32 and just drop speed to 6000 or 6200?

Of course, every RAM kit is capable of OC.
However, each rated kit is tested with specific timings, and while there is no guarantee of success, it's highly likely.

Because that kit is an RGB version, which is more expensive.

Just checked my monitor specs: Its Ultrawide Acer Predator x34 with resolution 3440x1440 from 2015. Its got 1.2a DisplayPort and max refresh rate 100 fps.
So im guessing all DP backwards compatible and also i googled about 1.2 DP it supports 3440x1440 up to 110 fps. So i guess im good with that build to carry on with this 10 year old monitor? Im not missing anything?

A 100Hz display may bottleneck a 9070XT, therefore it could be wise to save money on the GPU and choose a 9070 instead.

@SpyderTracks recently (yesterday) installed a 9070XT, and I'm interested in hearing his thoughts on this. :)

3440x1440 is more demanding than 1440 regular monitors, so i think it will be a perfect fit.
I might upgrade monitor in the future too.

I would agree if your current monitor had at least a 144/165Hz refresh rate, but for a 100Hz panel, I don't believe it is worthwhile.

The pixel count on 1440p is ~3.7 miilion pixels, Ultrawide 1440p is ~4.9 million pixels, Superwide 1440p is ~7.4 million pixels, and 4K is ~8.3 million pixels. I'd suggest waiting for @SpyderTracks because of his Superwide G9, and he can provide the best advice possible. :)

If you plan to replace the monitor in the short term, it's another story, and that makes sense.

Hi, so hows SpyderTracks doing with his new GPU on super ultrawide? thats close to 4k resolution though.

PS> I cant believe you just run out of 9800 X3D cpus till end of april. what a bummer!

Have but up some benchmark scores here:

Its impressed me coming from a GTX1080. It’s certainly got the chops for super wide for raster performance, plenty of guts for VR, even ray traced it’s fine so long as you’re upscaling but the upscaling tech is SO MUCH BETTER that it’s really hard to discern from native
