First AMD build recommendations/advice + B550 vs X570?

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to make an AMD build for the first time and I've done lots of research but could use some advice before moving forward with purchase. The primary use will be gaming which doesn't include streaming.

I've copied my specs below. Any feedback is appreciated but I will add my main query/concern is whether or not the B550 motherboard is worth purchasing over an X570 board.

Note: I have SSD/HD storage ready.

Thanks in advance!

Budget £1,500-£1800 (being marginally over the budget isn't a big deal)

Could you please edit to include the "Unique Configurable URL" from the post to forum page? Makes it easier for us to go in and amend if needed rather than doing the whole configurator. Thank you

To know if this is a good spec for your needs or not, we need the following information:

- Maximum budget? Helps to know if there is any room to upgrade things
- Assuming this is a gaming system (given the monitor you have and the GPU selected) Any other uses to take into account? Editing? Streaming? things like that

On a general level, the B550 board is fine for gaming and normal activities...the 570 is generally preferred when using a higher-end chip or when the extra VRMs would be helpful, like with data processing or some such. The 570 is also better if a CPU change is expected at some point.

Thank you, I've added some changes to the post to allow for the additional required information. In response to your questions though I'll add the answers here as well.

-Intended use is gaming, not include editing nor streaming.
-Max budget I would say I'd like it to be closer to £1,500 but happy to spend up to £1,800 for future proofing/getting the most out of selected hardware.

Thanks again
