I'm upgrading my pc and previously waited for the 4090 but now unsure to wait for the 5000 series, but even so is it worth the wait, and what else can I upgrade, I use a Samsung 57' odyssey neo g9 monitor so I'm guessing I need a new psu also I'm wanting to upgrade my storage options too and will I have to upgrade my cooling

For gaming, I would either get a 4090 if you can find one, or a 5080, don’t bother with the 5090, it’s just not worth it for gaming.

The 5080 is released next week

Youd want a 1200w Shift PSU

Can’t see any reason to upgrade the cooler, no requirement for it?

What new needs do you have with storage?

fair enough just never really delt with cooling but if thats fine ill leave it, and with the memory ive had a few new games and already noticing ive got little memory left since im getting more story games and such, also any need upgrading the ram? im clueless with pc stuff and wanting just to do a full on upgrade but if its not needed ill leave that also

Which specific games?

Are you running anything while you’re gaming?

Any mods?

this is a common misconception and why it’s so important to have a strong platform at the outset (which you have)

Adding more RAM doesn’t improve performance in any way, all it does is maintain performance IF the program being run actually requires that amount.

You haven’t mentioned about the storage requirements?

yeah fifa mods, cyberpunk, black myth wukong and the game i recently played where i felt i needed this upgrade was Indiana Jones it struggled big time in certain areas. and storage wise just to be face another 2/3tb will be enough since i like to replay these games so I don't rarely delete them
