Similarly for me - what I care most about are relatively low ping times and maximum reliability. Which happily I seem to have with my current provider. Download speeds aren't super fast, but aren't that bad and I don't download a huge amount of stuff anyway. And on the occasions when I do download a game, I'm not that bothered if it takes a bit longer.

Yea on my 5 year old acer laptop, an overnight download would have well and truly killed it and superseded my house's heating in the process. New rig could download for weeks on end no problemo!

60 meg Virgin service and it's grand. 11 to 15ms ping and stable. Modem/router had some suboptimal settings out of the box, but a quick channel change turned it from very good to amazeballs.
