FedEx being weird

Delivery timeframes from a company are never guaranteed. They are expected delivery timeframes given out based on hundreds, if not thousands of other orders and it's possible for some parcels to become delayed. No matter what company you're ordering from a delay with a courier is always possible

EDIT: Also shown in the T&C's, located below :)

“1 to 2 days to Ireland” is not the case NOW. No one gets anything to Ireland from UK in 1 to 2 days now. That was a pre-Brexit possibility.

While PCS is potentially covered from litigation through its T&Cs, it is probably an ethical question for PCS - whether to give its customers a more realistic timeline.

Not here to argue. Just stating an opinion.

I totally get your point, don't worry! It is still possible for parcels to reach Ireland within 1-2 days, especially on an Express option. Yeah, now Brexit occurred there are more chances of delays to Ireland but it is definitely still possible. Never take a delivery method and look at it as a guaranteed timeframe :)

The site now shows 2-3 days which is a lot more possible

Does PCS provide the express option? That would be great if they do. For my last RMA I mentioned that I am willing to pay more for the express option, but I was told “No”, unless I wanted to book it on my own and get it collected from PCS.

It would be a great idea to add the express option for the impatient people.

With FedEx , and Customs on both sides, I would be really really reeeeeally surprised if anyone gets packages in 2 to 3 days. Last 3 returns for me in the last 3 months - it was a 7 to 21 days range.

The company I work for ships to Ireland from the UK in 2-3 business days on Express so I would only assume it's the same here with PCS, not 100% sure though so can't confirm. FedEx have been pretty awful recently even shipping to the US (not for PCS), so it might just be a combo of FedEx being slow and the Customs checks all combined

Mine was due today. No tracking update since it was in Leeds last Thursday. Phoned FedEx and my case has been escalated. I should receive an email. 😳

Mine was due last Monday :) Made a trip to France just to tease me, had a party with cheese, baguettes and wine... now hangovering at Dublin customs since Thursday. No new updates since. FedEx don't pickup, just play music... probably everyone is drunk there playing games with my PC :ROFLMAO:

About two weeks before mine comes so, providing of course that they can locate it.

Meanwhile mine is stuck about 2 hours from me at the airport.

Clearance instructions from the importer are required.
Recommended action: Importer must provide instructions.

I sent a tech support letter about this to PCSpecialist last night(that's when this message appeared on my tracking page) but there has been no answer yet. Would it be more reliable to phone them up directly or should I contact FedEx instead

Sending the Invoice and the RMA details to [email protected] with PC specialist support on copy did sort it out in a day for me in my previous RMA with similar issue.

What does RMA stand for, again? Where could I get it? Also I've made 3 amendmnents to my order before it went into building should I send all the invoices?

I would call FedEx myself. We get a common problem here (Greece) because the courier companies add their own labels. Obviously these should include all the addressing information that the sender (PCS in this case) supplied on the original shipping label, but sometimes they make mistakes and leave key bits of the address off or make typing errors (not uncommon with a Greek address). Stupidly, and incomprehensively TBH, the couriers only ever look at their own label and if it's wrong or incomplete we get this 'contact the importer' message.

We've had packages held up in this way even where the originator shipping label has the exact correct address and our phone number - but the dimwitted courier company only use what's on their own label. They've even tried to con me that they're legally obliged to only use their own label. Yeah, right.

RMA = Return Merchandise Authorisation

UBUYSA answered the question about RMA.
For email to [email protected] I attached only the main invoice only. Not including the amendments. And it was cleared in a day's time.

Scenario 2: For my 3rd RMA the following happened:
It would be worthwhile checking your email (provided to PCS) and your spam to see if there is an email from fedex.com that looks like this. respond with what is needed if asked. The team is easily available on direct line too.

Has anyone attempted picking up from Fedex Location (Dublin) and has that worked?
Fed Ex are notoriously difficult mate, I doubt it's something they would offer especially with how much of a shambles they've been recently.

Can't hurt to try though

Same here. I expected my PC on Tuesday and since then it hasn't moved. Shows Stansted since Tuesday. Called Fedex several time with everyone giving a different answer. Called PCS and they called Fedex and were told my computer was in Dublin with Customs. But I haven't received any email or notification of any sorts. What is scary is that now, carriers are actually unable to give you a real timeframe....

If it's going through Customs then no real timeframe can be given - in Customs they can take as long as they want really to inspect parcels and make sure they're all safe. Some parcels are selected at random to go through further security checks so until it's out of Customs you won't be able to get a specific timeframe really.

Once out of Customs it should be processed by FedEx within 72 hours before being out for delivery :)
