Fans not wired correctly?

I have the Corsair 4000x case with 3 fans on the front blowing into the case. Behind the fans up front is an h150i LCD radiator. The fans that came with the aio kit are 2 on the roof and 1 on the back.
I've just realised the case fans on the front seem to only be controlled by armoury crate or in the bios. The exhaust fans i can see in icue software, they react to whichever sensor they are linked to in the software.
Is it just me or should it of been set up so the aio/icue control the incoming air through the radiator also?

iCUE will only control the front fans if they’re plugged into the Core Commander. If they’re non Corsair fans, they might be plugged into one of the fan headers (Fan opt maybe).

Just had a look at the software now my son's off it and in bed :p
There's no commander pro showing, only lighting node!
Sure a commander pro was supposed to come with my aio and my case!
Nothing in welcome box either. I'll have to take the side off and have a look what they've actually done :(

They are the 3 cooler fans that are connected to the commander pro
Yeah, hopefully it's in there and for some bizarre reason they've connected the case fans to the motherboard instead. But it's definitely not showing anywhere in icue software.

Suggest you take some pics with the side panel removed so we can see how it's wired. I believe the case comes with a lighting node or possibly even a commander and then the H150i would come with a Commander Core. It should be possible to link all 6 fans (3 case, 3 cooler) to the Commander Core, if it's been fitted.

And maybe a couple of screenshots of iCUE itself.

Your case only allows control of front/rear fan RGB via iCUE as it come with a lighting node core, the speed control is via a PWM splitter which will be on a MB header so controlled via BIOS or armoury crate, so you should be able to see RGB for all case fans in iCUE, can you not ?

That's correct, I can see all the fans for RGB in icue, but can only control the fan speed that came with the cooler. Unfortunately they've positioned those as exhaust fans.
For now I've set the intake fans on turbo via armoury crate and they are still pretty quiet.
My son is autistic and spends almost all day on the pc. I'll whip the side off if I get the opportunity and see what's going on.

the cooler fans will be exhaust

You could always do similar to what i did to the Berserker when i got it (similar scenario)

They are, yes. 2 in roof 1 on the back.
The radiator is mounted behind the front case fans.

yep that's how mine is set up and all fans are connected via the commander pro, so can all be controlled both lighting and fan curve via icue, your 3 cooler fans will be ML's, and the case will be LL's, basically if you read that article what i did was replace the ML's with LL's so all fans were the same (the LL's look better with their RGB) and stuck all 6 fans on the commander and removed the lighting core

To be honest, in my head that's how I thought it would arrive.

Still not had the opportunity to have a look yet, but I've had a look on the Corsair site. It says the h150i LCD cooler comes with a commander core, and I suspect my case came with sp 120 fans and a lighting node of some sort. Not really sure 100% how to tell the difference between ML and SP fans. I'll see how it all works out when I've had a look, but I'll probably end up changing them all out to ll fans.

Just managed to grab a quick pic when my son left the computer for a second lol.
No commander core or pro listed.

Managed to grab a pic of inside. Surely the 3 cables going to the small PCB could of just gone to the big hub and then the PCB wouldn't be needed. I still don't get why the bigger hub isn't showing though.

I think you're spot on, but would wait for one of the others to confirm, I get so confused with iCue configuration.

The big hub is showing (Commander Core) its just transparent as it controls the H150i, the other fans can connect to the big hub for speed but not RGB but to be honest it's probably easier just set the top and rear fans at a set RPM that's as quiet as you like via BIOS or Armoury Crate and cooling won't be a problem.
