Fan working very hard - normal?

Hi - is it normal for the fan the run hard even under light use and light gaming such as Roblox?

Is there a way to check that the fan operation is optimised or is it automatic?

Yes, it's a master driver. It won't be in control panel or programs, it will be in the running programs in the taskbar:

Out of curiosity I looked at my other kids pc specialist laptop that arrived this week. It has no Gaming CenterU or similar. Not listed in programs either. His fan seems okay but do I need Gaming CenterU or similar installed?

Depends what chassis it is. GamingCenterU is just on TongFang chassis.
