Hello guys, I just bought a new laptop from PCspecialist and I having a problem where the fan goes from 0 to 35% causing a lot of noising and this happens all the time, I have this laptop to study, most of the time I just use the browser or sometimes doing nothing and it keeps going to 35%, this is really annoying, I have access to the control centre but it keeps the same in the quiet mode too what doesn't make sense.

If you're certain you've configured drivers correctly, then I'd contact PCS.

The cooling will be determined by the management driver being correctly configured, which of course relies on all other drivers. If you're sure those are setup correctly, then it suggests a hardware issue, best to speak to PCS.

But if the management driver and others aren't configured properly, the cooling won't be working as it should do.

I will contact them, actually, all drivers are from pcspecialist, but in your opinion this is not common right?

You wouldn't install drivers from PCS, they'll be out of date, the only driver you'd install from PCS would be the management driver.

But if you've ordered without windows, it's assumed you know how to configure it.

I configured everything right, and all drivers are up to date, such as Intel drivers witch I got from the intel website

So if you're certain that windows is configured correctly, you'd need to raise a support ticket with PCS, but be aware since you ordered without windows you're not eligible for software support. That's why I'm stressing if the setup isn't correct, then the cooling won't be able to work properly, I don't want you to get a big bill if it turns out to be a software issue.

What have you done differently since you were getting 100% fan speed here in this thread?

Can you provide a full breakdown of what you did for your Clean install and afterwards.

It sounds like you did a Windows install then installed the drivers from the PCS website / download page?

I suggest you do another CLEAN install, let Windows update completely until no more updates, including optionals.

Then look at Device manager to see whats outstanding (screen shot any yellow triangles).

Then look for the GamingCenter (if its still called that) zip file from PCS and install that.

Actually I returned that one because have been told that this was happening because the CPU was a quad core, so I returned that one and got this new one, which is having this problem. I will do a clean installation this evening because the Windows I have is the one that came with the laptop from pcspecialist.

You didn’t say that, you can’t use the test windows as it’s not configured. You need to clean install your own version.

I configured everything right, and all drivers are up to date, such as Intel drivers witch I got from the intel website

I am back, and I did a clean installation but unfortunately still the same, I will now download the Intel driver using them program to check the drivers. Also I do not have the Arc drivers installed yet.

What program did you use to find drivers?

And what process did you take to clean install?

As I said I did not installed any other drivers yet, just the one from windows update. Do you think I can install the driver from Intel using their program?
I deleted all the drivers partition and create a new one
