Fan issues

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue with my around 1 year old pc bought from PCSpecialist.
The case fan at the front of my computer case sometimes doesn't spin well or at times not at all, it makes a very loud sound trying to spin,
then other times I turn it on and it's perfectly fine, sounds normal. I assumed I had to replace it, the issue for me is I dont feel I can replace the fans easily because the cables related to it seem to be cable tied at the back of the pc, as well as these fans have no accessible ball bearing for me to oil.
So is my only option to RMA? or is there something else I can do? I'd rather not send it back for something so trivial.
I'm sorry if this is hard to read, I have Asperger's syndrome and I find all of this quite stressful, I just wanna play video games hence why I buy from PCSpecialist in the first place.

Yes, sounds like the fan has failed, it can happen unfortunately. You're best option is to contact PCS and get a replacement. You could return the entire PC for them to do the replacement, but that's a lot of effort, and would take longer. Plus there is the risk that the case gets damaged going back and forth.

Replacing a case fan is not too hard. The fan is held on by four screws, you use a Philips screwdriver (PH2) to remove. And the fan will have two cables attached, one for RGB, connected to the lighting node, and the other that controls speed that is probably connected to a splitter extension cable.

I would try and trace the cables from the fan to their connnection points and then unplug. You may need to snip some zip ties to free the cables, but again this is not hard, just take your time so you don't damage cables themselves.

An alternative is to get PCS to ship the replacement fan out, and get a local computer repair shop to make the swap for you?

Thank you to whomever censored the image, didn't realize I posted that...

Thank you for your reply, I think I will take it to a local shop. The cable ties around the pc would make it very hard to change the CHA-FAN headers and I also do not know which header this fan goes to.
The fan works fine but not on first start up of the day, when I first turn the computer on after it being off for 12 hours or so, the fan spins very slowly if at all and makes a loud sound. after a reboot it's fine, so I wonder if it's got something to do with the adapter.

I suspect the bearing has failed and become sticky. This prevents the fan from spinning on startup and only gets going when RPM reach a certain value, or it overcomes the friction of the faulty bearing. Once it gets moving it will keep spinning, but it clearly needs to overcome an initial impedance, which is not normal.
