Hi guys,

Had a prebuild, as it was the only way to get a RTX card. Anyway, was playing Red Dead 2 the other day and noticed my case was hot, started monitoring the temps and noticed GPU temp at 67 (fine, happy with that) and CPU was hovering around 80, peaking at 85. This I am not happy about. Had this PC around a year now, can't believe I'd never checked this, but the top 2 radiator fans were not spinning, at all, no matter the temp. Messed around inside and plugged direct into MOBO, one is spinning (exhaust) but fine, temps have dropped. Did a smoke test and actually noticed, the rear fan is intaking (no filter) and the 2 side fans are exhaust (all 120mm).

I've bought a new fan, was going to replace the one I think is faulty, now, as I'm going in, I'm thinking to swap all fans around (even though temps are fine now, I don't like my intake not having a filter - I have had to dust down twice already).

This is where I need help- The 2 radiator fans on the top, the first one is directly above the top side fan. The other is over the CPU microfan. Assuming I go 2 side fans intake, and rear exhaust, what config should I use for my radiator fans, 4 intake and only 1 exhaust seems a bit unbalanced. Any thoughts on what to do, (also sorry If I have explained poorly, it is tough to describe)

Don't know why I didn't think of this before. You can just see the two fans at the top, below the radiator.

Is this a pcspcecialist system? Can you post your full specs from the order page?

Lol no. This was the time when everywhere was out of stock about 1 year ago. I have bought from PCSPECIALIST in the past but on this occasion they didn't have the GPU I was after. I think considering the amount I've spent with them before I'm entitled to a bit of free IT advice.

Sorry, but we can only give advice on PCS systems, you'd need to check out a forum like Toms Hardware which is an open forum.

Hmmm, I'll give it a go. Thanks for the tip.

I get you don't want to potential give bad advice for a non PCS system, but come on, airflow doesn't change depending on who built it. I've decided on one intake and one exhaust, installed the fans today. Temps looking good after a few stress tests today 😃

This forum is only for PCS systems I'm afraid, it's a closed forum

You need an open forum, or the forum related to the company you bought from.

This is not an open forum, we cannot give advice on non PCS systems.
