I'll tell you something else I've noticed, Ubuysa - copying files to and from network resources is far faster and more stable. Seems that those dips down to KB/s and then picking back up to 10's of MB/s have gone.

That's interesting, I wonder whether that's just a driver update though?
Another niggly issue I had after upgrading was some mouse stutter when using the display extended to my smart TV. No devices in Device Manager showed the classic yellow triangle and exclamation mark however, but a second mouse had the same issue so it was clearly a Windows problem somewhere. Swapping USB ports didn't fix the stutter but it did mitigate it somewhat, after some more digging checking the drivers Windows had installed via Windows Update against the downloads on the Asus website (I have an Asus Z170-E board) it became apparent that although Windows Update had installed most of the required drivers it had not installed the USB drivers for my motherboard. Installing the USB drivers from the ASUS website solved my mouse stutter problem.
The lesson is to check your motherboard vendor's driver list and ensure that Windows Update has installed all of them......
BTW: The Update History now shows installed updates in four groups; Feature Updates, Quality Updates (a fancy way of saying security updates I think), Driver Updates, and Other Updates. That does make it much easier to check which driver updates have been installed etc.
I've just had an issue with a couple of automatic updates to the Fall Creator's Edition...
The 'Feature Update to Windows 10, version 1709' fails to install with error 0x800f081f and '2017-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1709 form amd64-based systems (KB4043961)' also fails to install with error 0x800f081f.
Error 0x800f081f indicates a corrupted or damage update file. I tried all the usual fixes, including running the Microsoft update troubleshooter (which claimed it has applied fixes) and nothing helped. In the end I downloaded and installed KB4043961 as a standalone update from the Windows Update Catalog and that fixed both issues. This suggest the corruption is in the Windows Update download.
Had had a couple of issues on another system where the fall creators update reset the start menu (somewhat irritating) and re-enabled fast boot, which disabled wake on lan from shut down.
