F1 2010 installation problems

it seemed to freeze, then after bout 20 minutes it completed the installation.
I found it even more problematic trying to link my windows live id. at first it kept telling me that my id didn't exist, then after the 3rd or 4th attempt it worked, then I got a message saying there was an update out that I needed to download.
I proceeded to download it and was prompted to close the game to complete the update, so I did. when I relaunched the game, it told me that once again, there was an update that I needed to download. after several attempts at trying to get past that, I eventually succeeded.
