My only question mark on the above is whether it would make more sense to wait until later in the month before buying, assuming RX 570XT AIB models are a) released and b) being used by PCS in their builds instead of the current blower-only option.

The price is too high? In the words of Manuel... Que?! Where have you possibly seen anything similar be cheaper?

So I took the bait.

Putting the components into PC partpicker, it came to £1386.83, not including postage, the wifi card, or the LED strips.
And the RAM was higher latency too. So PCS's spec is probably only £20-30 at most above what it would cost to self build. With the advantage that you don't have to self build. With potential fun like buying an X470 mobo and finding the one you got shipped had an old BIOS version that doesn't support Zen 2, or whatever.

More generally, it's a spec that will breeze its way through 1440p gaming, and make a good fist of 4k in some titles. And would be excellent for streaming.

I'd agree with that. But with AIB cards coming out this month, I wonder if PCS will be able to switch to open cooler cards during Aug.

It's a great option for streaming, especially with the R7 3700x CPU - which offers solid gaming performance and, thanks to its extra 'threads', should be a better option for streaming than Intel's rival 9700(k).

If you want to make a separate topic on the forums with your budget and exact needs - and details of which monitor you will be gaming on - people could always suggest alternatives. But at the price point, the Fusion Fury is a very strong contender

I am thinking of purchasing this PC of the Month, but was just wondering what monitor people would recommend for it?

Could depend a bit on the games you like, but for general gaming with all sorts, something 1440p, 144hz, with freesync.

There's the Element Gaming 27" which is ultra budget for the spec but apparently not bad at all, often on sale for ~£220

many models after that start weighing in around £300-£350
e.g. Dell S2719DGF (TN) Acer Nitro VG270UPbmiipx (IPS)

And some more upmarket ones that are also gsync compatible. e.g. AORUS AD27QD (~£530), and the forthcoming LG 27GL850-B (~£450). The LG looks pretty amazing.

And there's the 27-32" curved VA panel squad by MSI, AOC, and probably Samsung. Maybe around £400.

As long as it's 1440p, high refresh, and has adaptive sync, it's a safe bet.

Will pc specialist ever get the new custom cards in stock? I called up today the guy was nice but completely clueless about that, he had to google what the 5700xt card was lol. If i can get the custom 5700xt card i will buy a pc from pc specialist but i wont buy the reference card. Does anyone know if they will get them in?

Only PCS can answer that for you, we can only speculate.

You can always source your own card and select "already have a graphics card" on the build and add yours when you get it.

Ah, sorry. I have to admit I'm not yet finished with my first cup of coffee, so my brain is actually a bit slow

We do have about 11 cards in stock, as of today, that are blower edition. We do, however, not know what we get with the next delivery, as our stock can change even within a day, depending on the incoming orders. So what kind of card will actually be installed, is dependent on stock on the day of building! If we have different types on stock, we might be able to put in a version you prefer, but if we don't have it, you can't get it - tbh.

Is there any chance of benefitting from this offer and deselecting the GPU?

I wish to get an AIB cooled RX 5700XT.

And what are your thoughts on the MOBO over say TUF Gaming X570?

Otherwise, this spec is pretty good!
